The 1426 Checklist:
Military Flex: You’ve successfully fended off at least one border raid or local skirmish. Bonus points if you still have all your original limbs.
Wealth Status: If you’ve played your cards right, you finally own a steel sword. (No more loaning the rusty one from the village armory).
Asset Sharing: You are the proud part-owner of a plow horse. Shared custody with two cousins is still a win.
Property Goals: You’ve secured a solid two-acre strip in the open field system. #LandownerLife #Blessings
Glow Up: You’ve upgraded your Sunday tunic to one that features actual dyed wool. Look at you, wearing blue!
Health Check: You still have at least 60% of your molars. Truly living your best, most aesthetic life.
The Vibe:The Hundred Years’ War is still “trending,” the local Lord is asking for more tithes, and you’ve already outlived half your childhood friends.
Stop worrying about the Black Death—that’s so last century. Let’s make the 1420s our decade!
