Time for another Medieval Fun Fact! This time about one of Knight School’s favourite movies: A Knight’s Tale (2001)
The film mixes medieval jousting with classic rock on purpose — to make history feel alive and fun. Director Brian Helgeland used songs like Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and David Bowie’s “Golden Years” to help modern audiences connect emotionally with medieval tournaments, which were basically the sporting events (and rock concerts!) of their day.
